Meet Farah
FarahThis poor little love is called Farah, as in Fawcett, she may not be beautiful at the moment with her emaciated state, open sores and painful sarcoptic mange but she will be in time, with much needed veterinary care and good food she will be beautiful just like her name sake was. Dogs like Farah (actually 1 in 5) cost the rescue so much more than the average dog which in its self is a surprising amount. After the routine costs of Neutering, Micro-chipping, Vaccinating, Worming, De-Fleaing and Vet Consultations we Farah1would have parted with costs of approx £250 to £300 per dog.Farah2
You Help Needed

We are desperately low on our stocks of dried food, we are actually out of dried puppy food and have minimal supplies of adult. If anybody has any spare food or could donate a bag we would be enormously grateful. The food can be donated at any of our foster homes, sent to Pip in Evesham or alternatively you can send in a donation however small to help feed a hound, Thank you.

Three Counties Show

Threecounties2We wanted to say a big EGLR thank you to everyone who came along to see us on our stand at the Three Counties Show this year. We had a great weekend, despite the somewhat inclement weather! It was wonderful to see so many friends, both old and new. We spent the whole weekend talking dogs and we wanted to thank all those of you that gave us a donation or bought something from us as without your continued support it would be very difficult to do what we do. ThreeCountiesShow1We are delighted to report a grand total of £410 was raised and received some very positive interest in our sponsor dog appeal.

THANK YOU...................

News about Bluebell

Good news about little Bluebell at last, we are pleased to tell you that she has survived the terrible Parvovirus and after spending a week in intensive care at our vets she is now well on the road to recovery. Unfortunately she has a slight chest infection at the moment which we are treating with antibiotics so when these have finished we will start her inoculation's. Hopefully if all goes well Bluebell will be ready for adoption in the next couple of weeks and we want to thank everybody who sent their kind wishes and donations which have helped with her enormous vet bills.

It is so lovely to have a happy outcome for once with Parvo as normally the news is so heartbreaking, without the dedication of Pip and the veterinary team she would not be looking forward to a happy forever new home.

Meet Bluebell

BluebellThis is dear little Bluebell, sadly she is our latest puppy to arrive in the rescue with Parvo. She is currently at the vets receiving palliative care. She is holding her own at the moment and we are keeping our fingers crossed that she will make a full recovery.

We will, of course, keep you posted on her progress.

This heart breaking disease does seem to be on the increase, so please, please do remember to keep your dogs vaccinations up to date.
