Evesham Greyhound & Lurcher Rescue
A Message from Pip
We have had a yet another dog taken in to the rescue who has the deadly Parvo virus, luckily for her it looks like she will survive after intensive vet support and care and believe me she is very lucky to do so, Please Please vaccinate your dogs and keep them up to date, I cannot stress this enough as this heartbreaking and terrible disease seems to be on the increase, so if just one person vaccinates their dogs by reading this then it will be all be worthwhile
Sponsor Dogs

HartleyAre you stuck for that special present? Would you like to help one of our dogs, but don't feel able to give a forever home?

Well take a look at our Sponsor Dog page, as unfortunately not all of our rescue dogs are successfully rehomed, some arriving after suffering unimaginable cruelty and circumstances. These dogs stay with us at EGLR and become long term fosters.

Each dog is unique, having individual requirements including socialisation, overcoming fears etc, veterinary care and special diets as well as the normal doggy needs of food, bedding, toys and treats. By sponsoring one (or more) of our dogs, you will help us to make sure that these dogs receive everything that they require for a much deserving happy life. It's only £15.00 a year to sponsor one of our dogs, so have a look at the dogs and find out how you can help.

EGLR Sponsored Walk

SponsoredwalkWe would like to thank everyone who came along and supported our first EGLR sponsored dog walk last Sunday and made it a great success. We raised the grand sum of £604 before sponsorship money and paypal donations. We do hope that everyone enjoyed their day as much as we did. The money raised by everyone will be an enormous help to us as it will be used to directly help the dogs in our care.Sponsoredwalk1
We would also like to say a big EGLR thank to you Laura and her band of helpers, marshalls, cake bakers and others who helped to organise the walk and made it a day to remember.

It may have been the first but we are sure it won't be the last!

Meet Pluto

PlutoLast week we were contacted by a vets asking us if we could help with a young pup that had a broken elbow joint that needed surgery so we took him in and left him in the trusting hands of our hard working vets, he was booked to have surgery on Friday, the plan was to wire and plate the joint. We were told that this was a difficult operation due to the area that was broken.
