UPDATE MAY 2020
Mushroom has now fully recovered from her skin issues, after many many test we never got to the root of the issue but with good food and the medicated baths we have finally got on top of it and she hasn’t needed any medicated baths for several weeks now.
Mushroom defiantly wins the prize for one of the most laziest dogs we have ever had in the rescue, she is very much a plodder she doesn’t do anything at speed and sleeps most of the day, she isn’t a dog that is going to go for long walks but prefers a nice garden to mooch around instead, having a walk when the mood takes her.
Mushroom would make a wonderful companion dog as long as they have the heating on in the winter and will keep a warm coat on her when the days get cold and in the summer she would like a bed in the sun. Mushroom asks for very little she in fully house train and non destructive. She would like to be the only dog in the home.
Once a night she does like to have a play with her toys and this last about 30 mins and that is her main burst of energy and then she has to recharge for the next night.
She loves her food but you do have to make sure she doesn’t put on to much weight as being so lazy she doesn’t really burn of any calories, she loves fuss and attention
UPDATE FEB 2020
Mushroom is doing really well in her foster home, here’s what they have said about her “we go round the orchard twice a day about 800 metres each time. She goes out to toilet in between times and is completely clean in the house, she is quiet and likes visitors always up for a fuss, plays with her toys but doesn’t shred them to bits”.
Her skin is looking so much better that we think she is ready to be rehomed very soon.
Mushroom arrived suffering with a long term untreated chronic skin condition, she is currently receiving treatment and her skin is starting to look much better, during her time with us we have found her to be a gentle quiet loving girl who has moments of play with her favorite fluffy toys but her favorite thing in the entire world is being tucked up all toasty warm in her bed with several layers of blankets and you will never find her without her fleecy coats on. Mushroom is one of the laziest dogs we have every met she loves to snooze and will only quickly nip outside for a wee or poo and then straight back in under the covers, she is fully house trained and extremely gentle on the lead.
Mushroom would make a good companion dog that is looking for a low energy dog, she will need someone with good central heating who doesn’t mind keeping their house toasty warm.
