Hi, I’m Oren! I’ve been enjoying life in my foster home for a little while now while I wait for my forever family to find me. My foster mum thought it was time to tell you a little more about me.
I’m a friendly, affectionate boy who could happily live with another well-matched dog, or equally enjoy being the only dog in the home. I love playing with other dogs, as long as they’re kind to me—I can be a bit of a softie and don’t appreciate bullies!
Because I have a strong chase instinct, I’m not suitable to live with cats or any small furry animals. For the same reason, I need to stay on lead when out and about, as I know I’d struggle to resist chasing wildlife if I got the chance. I do get excited when I spot squirrels or cats on walks, but when there aren’t any distractions, I walk beautifully on the lead.
I’m a great traveller and love hopping in the car for new adventures. I settle down quickly and travel really well.
I’m fully house-trained and always make sure I do my business outside. I’m also happy to be left home alone for around 3–4 hours. During that time, I’ll most likely curl up for a nap, so I’m not destructive and I don’t have any accidents.
Food is one of my favourite things! I have lovely manners around food and treats, happily eating alongside other dogs without any issues. When taking treats from people, I’m always gentle and never snatch.
I’m lucky to have lots of doggy friends in my neighbourhood and love meeting new dogs with a wagging tail. I’m a very social lad who enjoys making new friends wherever I go.
At home, nothing beats cuddle time on the sofa. I absolutely love affection and quality time with my people. Sometimes I forget I’m not actually a lap dog and try to squeeze on for extra cuddles! I’m also an excellent supervisor, whether you’re cooking, gardening, or doing jobs around the house. In fact, I’m quite the enthusiastic gardener myself—I happen to think I’m an expert hole digger thanks to plenty of practice!
My new home will need a secure garden with 6ft fencing, as I can jump surprisingly high if I catch the scent of a deer or spot a cheeky squirrel running along the fence.
While I’m very friendly and sociable with adults, I do find young children quite worrying and become stressed around them. Because of this, I’m looking for an adult-only home where I can feel safe, relaxed and truly be myself.
If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who enjoys adventures, cuddles, and being part of everyday family life, I could be the perfect match. I can’t wait to find my forever home.
